Greetings all! If you have not yet figured it out, I have been making a few changes here and there around here so that I can do a lot of the updates to this site on the fly while I am away from my computer. We added a mobile version for reading our stories, and now we have added a mobile flickr. What is that you ask? Well its a second image gallery... One that I can update immediately from my BlackBerry... Lets say I see something new downtown and I snap a pic... It can be online for everyone to see immediately! View the mobile flickr by clicking the link in the menu bar on the left.

I have added options for me to add stories from the BlackBerry as well! 2/21/09 will be the real test while I am doing live photos and updates from the Pavlik fight at the Chevrolet Centre! Should be sweet!

The mobile flickr only has a test photo in it from a game at Stambaugh Stadium, but new photos will be added soon. From downtown and on 2/21 from the Pavlik fight!

Are you planning on being a part of the biggest event in the history of the Chevrolet Centre? For those of you who have not yet heard, Youngstown's Champ, Kelly "The Ghost" Pavlik, will be defending his WBC/WBO Championship on Saturday Feb 21st, right here in Downtown Youngstown at the Chevrolet Centre! How many of you have made that trip to Atlantic City, NJ? Its quite a hike! But this time, all you will need to do is take a drive across the Market Street Bridge to see Kelly break all of the Chev's attendance records!

Tickets go on sale this Saturday morning (1/10/09) available starting at 10:00 AM on Ticketmaster.com, retail locations including Giant Eagle and Macy's, by phone at 800-745-3000 (Toll free express line at 866-448-7849) Tickets will also be available at the Chevrolet Centre box office located at 229 East Front Street downtown. Even Kelly's trainer - Jack Loew has tickets available from his Southside Boxing Club at (330) 501-5713

The Chev's current attendance record was established on June 11th, 2008 when the Centre hosted country singer Carrie Underwood and set a record of 5500 attendees. The Pavlik vs. Rubio event will seat about 7000. Ticket sales are expected to be hot and should sell out quickly, so if you are planning to be one of 7000 in attendance, you better be ready to act quickly!

Like myself, you will have found that its not very pretty! Hence why we now have the mobile edition! You'll notice that the mobile edition (in its current state) lacks a lot of features that the online version has...
